TEDxBend Here I come! & Removed Exhibition at RWFA Reviewed by Elin Spring

Today I made the trek across the country from Charlotte, NC to Bend, Oregon. I've never made it to a pacific coast state and I'm so excited to explore this place!

Fantastic review of my work and exhibition at Rick Wester Fine Art on What Will You Remember? Photography Blog by Elin Spring. This piece gave me the chills.

I am nestled into the beautiful Bend, Oregon anxiously awaiting rehearsal tomorrow for my TEDxBend talk. The community is so pumped about the event. They even have banners on every light post on every street in downtown.

So incredible! They put us up in the very classy Oxford Hotel. I feel the weight of this all and can say that it's a pressure that I'm learning to enjoy. I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to share my ideas at this capacity. Thank you all!

The past several months I have spent countless hours preparing for the largest public talk I have ever presented. I am thrilled to announce that I will be speaking at TEDxBend on Saturday, April 23, 1PM PST. If you just can't wait until the piece is edited and uploaded then you can stream the talk live here.

Removed Mention on BBC

This is another one of those spine tingling, heart racing moments of affirmation. Sarah Dunant mentions my series Removed at the conclusion of this hour long conversation about technology and the contemporary pace of life on the BBC program, Start The Week. The entire program is worth a listen and at (40:30) Removed is mentioned as "the society that emerges is like a bleak Edward Hopper".

I called Julie in a panic. Referred by the best people I know, Julie dove head first with me into the viral media blitz of my project "Removed." Together we navigated international media requests for print, online, and television use of my images. Organized, persistent, and with confidence, Julie represented not just the use of my work, but also the integrity and meaning of my personal vision so that the work did not fall to ill use. Coaching me along the way, Julie has taught me skills that I will forever use in my practice. Julie Grahame is joyfully stern, an awesome teammate, and makes a mean latte. You should work with her.
